For direct or indirect links to other websites (hyperlinks) which are outside the responsibility of Independent Publishing, liability would only arise if Independent Publishing has knowledge of the content and is technically able to disable the link.

Independent Publishing expressly declares that at the time of linking there was no illegal content to be found on the linked pages. The current and future design, contents or authorship of the linked pages are beyond the control of Independent Publishing. We distance ourselves from the contents of all linked pages that have been changed after the creation of the link. We explicitly take no responsibility and accept no liability for such external links. This applies to all links placed on our own websites as well as to foreign entries in guest books, discussion forums, link directories or mailing lists we might establish and all other forms of data which would allow access to external websites using their content.

According to the decision of the District Court Berlin Tiergarten on 30 June 1997, the creator of a hyperlink to an external website is not obligated to continuously review the website to which the link refers (Az: 260 DS 857/96). However, as soon as violations on linked external websites are detected, we are obligated to immediately remove such links from our website.

The use of information or contact details (for example: name, e-mail address, telephone and/or fax number, home address) of Independent Publishing in order to send unsolicited information is expressly forbidden. In cases in which this ban is violated, we reserve the right to undertake legal action against the sender of such information.
